This is a graphic novel that I illustrated many years ago, which was originally slated to be published by DarkHorse. Due to interpersonal drama and a cascade of misfortune, that did not happen. At one point, IDW became very interested, and their lawyers sought out the rights to the book. The lawyer for the author’s estate refused to license the story, because the percentage IDW could afford was too low (I’m still not sure how “no percentage” of “no book” is preferable to “a percentage” of “a book”— but I’m not a lawyer). So— this thing is doomed. But, I’ve decided to post it here, all 88 pages, as a massive piece of fan art— I do not have permission to do this from anyone. But, it was a dream for a handful of people for many years, and at the very least it taught me a lot about comics. Written by Martin Powell, lettered by David Hopkins, produced by the late Michael Hudson. Enjoy.
